About Joining the Californians for Alternatives to Toxics

Californians for Alternatives to Toxics (CATs) applauds your concern about pesticide and toxic chemical use in our shared community. By becoming a member of CATs you join a growing number of concerned citizens who are actively informing themselves about the dangers of toxic chemical applications in our communities. With each member our voice grows stronger as we stand together in calling for a toxic free California.

As a non-profit organization (501c3), CATs is supported by the concerned constituency we represent. Become a member of Californians for Alternatives to Toxics and your annual membership will help support the CATs team of grassroots strategists, scientists, attorneys and experts who will work to help end unneeded pesticide applications and promote healthy alternatives for all Californians.

Membership - Why become a member?

People often wonder about the perks that come with a CATs membership. They ask if a newsletter subscription is involved, or if we'll help them rid our environment of toxic chemicals.

The answer is YES! It's all available, but the newsletter and information are free for the asking to any who will use it to help create a non-toxic world.

So what's special about being a member? The best way it can be described is in how much louder and bolder CATs' voice becomes when you add yours to the chorus. Whether it's when we advocate before a government agency, file a lawsuit against an outrageous polluter or bring thousands of people together for the Organic Planet Festival, or even when raising money to pay for this work, what CATs is made of - its members! - counts for everything.
